Cloth diaper FAQs   1.         Is it more work using cloth diapers?   The extra works involve only dislodging solid waste into toilet bowl and normal laundering. Considering the money you'll be saving and positive impact on our environment, these extra works is definitely worth it.   2.         Will my baby get diaper rash from wearing cloth diapers?   It's been proven that cloth diapered babies have less incidence of diaper rash and allergy. Sodium Polyarcrylate in disposables absorb wetness and prolong the wearing time. When the child wears soiled diapers for a longer period plus friction, rashes will likely occur.   3.         How often do I have to change my baby?   It depends on how often your baby pee but generally, the rule of thumb is 3-4 hours unless your baby passes motion; you'll need to change her immediately.   4.         How many cloth diapers do I need?   It depends on whether you want to cloth diaper your child full time or part time, your babys' age and laundering frequency. For your baby to enjoy the benefits of cloth diaper, it is advisable to cloth diaper her at least during the day time if not whole day. For your reference, a 9 month old baby on day time basis needs at least 3 covers and 6 inserts daily and you'll need extra while waiting for the washed diapers to dry.   5.         Can my baby wear cloth diaper away from home?   Yes, you'll need a wetbag to keep wet and soiled diapers. If possible, rinse used diapers after each change before tossing into wetbag.   6.         Are there any extra steps in laundering cloth diapers?   No but less steps because cloth diapers are washed as normal laundering and machine washable minus softener or bleach. All you need is a laundering bag if machine wash.
